How to go to Tinuy-an Falls from Davao City
Going to Tinuy-an Falls, one must take a flight to Davao City or Butuan City as their point of entry. In my case, I started at Davao city since I live here. This is how you do it.
- From Davao airport, head to Ecoland Overland Transport Terminal by hailing a cab. It will cost you around 200 pesos.
- Look for a bus which is going to Mangagoy, the town center of Bislig City. The fare is not greater than 300 pesos. Travel time is around 5-6 hours.
- At Mangagoy, Charter a Habal-habal (motor bike) to Tinuy-an Falls. Make sure the driver you will be hiring will also agree to bring you back in town proper to avoid problems. It will cost you 400 pesos back and forth per habal-habal to bring you to and fro Tinuy-an Falls.
If you have more time, make the most of Surigao del Sur by also visiting Enchanted River in Hinatuan which is around one and a half hour away from Mangagoy and experience Island Hopping in Britania, San Agustine which is around two hours from Hinatuan.
